HSBC Mexico S.A. is the main subsidiary of Grupo Financiero HSBC S.A. de C.V., part of British HSBC Holdings plc. Headquartered in Torre HSBC in Mexico City, the company is the fifth largest bank in Mexico with 960 branches, 5,585 ATMs and 17,000 employees. It offers savings and current accounts, personal and commercial loans, mortgages, classic, gold and platinum credit cards; classic, premier and platinum debit cards, life insurance, home insurance, auto insurance, investment services, international transfers, online and mobile banking, wealth management and more. In 2011, Grupo Financiero HSBC sold its pension funds management business HSBC Afore S.A. to U.S.- based Principal Financial Group. In 2013, it also sold its financial unit HSBC Fianzas S.A. to Afianzadora Aserta.
