The Laurentian Bank of Canada (or Banque Laurentienne du Canada) is a medium-sized universal bank with activities in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and Territories, Alberta and the Prairies and the Atlantic provinces. The Bank employs over 2,700 people and maintains about 60 retail branches and 110 ATMs across the country. It also has a presence in the United States through Northpoint Commercial Finance (NCF), a non-bank inventory finance lender. Laurentian's main business areas are retail and business banking, B2B Bank segment and Capital Markets segment which includes Laurentian Bank Securities subsidiary. The company offers chequing accounts, high interest savings and seniors accounts, Youth plans, day by day US dollar account, term deposits, consumer and car loans, low rate credit cards, student loans, small business lending, mortgages, lines of credit, private banking, life and disability insurance, real estate products, mutual funds, guaranteed investment certificates as well as equipment finance and short- and long-term investment solutions. It also offers foreign currency accounts, payment services, Visa business cards, international transaction settlement, mobile and online banking and more. The company was established in 1846 and is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. As of July 31, 2024, Laurentian Bank Financial Group had total assets of C$47.5 billion, deposits of C$23 billion and shareholders’ equity of C$2.8 billion. The Bank’s common shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), with a market capitalization of over $1.3 billion as of December 1, 2024.
