Banco de Crédito del Perú S.A. (BCP) is the biggest bank in Peru, with more than 11 million customers, 28,700 employees and a market share of about 40% in deposits and loans. BCP operates through an extensive network of approximately 340 domestic branches and agencies and 2,200 ATMs. It also has two branches in Panama and Miami (USA), representative offices in Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile as well as subsidiary in Bolivia. The Bank's offerings are current and savings accounts, personal and business loans, mortgages, debit and credit cards, insurance and pension products, leasing, brokerage, treasury and advisory services, investments, wealth management, foreign exchange as well as mobile and online solutions for retail, SME, corporate and institutional customers. Established in 1889, the company began its operations as Banco Italiano and changed its name to BCP in 1941. BCP’s shares are listed on the Lima Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Valores de Lima, BVL). Banco de Credito del Peru operates as a subsidiary of Credicorp Ltd, the largest financial holding company in Peru. As at June 30, 2024, BCP had total assets of US$53 billion, deposits of US$37 billion, net loan portfolio of US$33 billion and shareholders' equity of US$6.0 billion.
