Scotiabank Peru S.A.A., the third largest financial institution in the country, provides a full array of products and services to individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and corporations through an extensive network of about 390 branches, including 165 retail offices, and over 800 ATMs distributed across the nation. It offers savings and checking accounts, consumer and commercial loans, mortgages, auto loans, debit and credit cards, pension products, insurance policies, investment banking, treasury and trade services, lease financing, correspondent banking, foreign exchange, mobile and online banking and other services. The company was formed in 2006 through the merger of Wiese Sudameris and Banco Sudamericano, and today employs about 5,400 people. In 2019, Scotiabank acquired of 51% controlling stake in Banco Cencosud and became the 2nd largest credit card issuer in the country. The company’s shares are listed on the Lima Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Valores de Lima, BVL), with a market capitalization of PEN 8.6 billion as of February 10, 2025. Through Scotia Perú Holdings SA, the Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canada-based The Bank of Nova Scotia.
