Admiral Group plc, based in Cardiff, Wales, is one of the leading British car insurance providers and a global financial services company. With around 11,000 employees and 9.2 million customers, it offers cheap motor insurance, home and landlord, travel and commercial vehicle insurance, car finance and personal loan products. The company also has subsidiaries and offices in France, Italy, Spain, Canada, USA and India, and a global comparison business. For the year ended December 31, 2021, Admiral Group reported profit after tax of £997 million, revenue of £1.6 billion, total premiums written for UK market of £2.5 billion, and total assets of £8.4 billion. In 2021 Admiral sold its comparison businesses Penguin Portals Group and Preminen, including Confused.com, Rastreator.com and LeLynx.fr, to ZPG Comparison Services Holdings UK Ltd. The Admiral Group’s shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), with a market capitalization of about £6.2 billion as of December 1, 2022.
