The company was established in 1848 and today it has a top 3 position in 11 Asia life markets. In 2019, Prudential plc demerged its UK and European investment and savings business M&G Plc. In 2021, Prudential completed the spinoff of its U.S. subsidiary Jackson Financial Inc. The company has dual primary listings on the London and Hong Kong stock exchanges, with a market capitalization of over US$21 billion as of December 1, 2024. It also has a secondary listing on the New York Stock Exchange (PUK) and Singapore Stock Exchange (K6S). Prudential's investment arm Eastspring has US$247 billion in assets under management (AUM) as of June 2024. Prudential plc is headquartered in London and Hong Kong.
