Banco de la Nacion Argentina S.A. (or Bank of the Argentine Nation) is the largest commercial bank in the country by total assets, deposits and loans. It is a state-owned bank with about 17,400 employees, 730 domestic branches, 2,790 ATMs and 600 TAS. Its main purpose is to act as a financial agent for the National Government. BNA provides a broad range of products and services to corporate and retail customers and micro, small & medium enterprises. The Bank's offerings are checking, savings and investment accounts, industrial and agricultural loans, export loans, personal and mortgage lending, debit and credit cards, prepaid cards, retirement and pension solutions, foreign trade services, working capital, insurance, leasing and factoring, payment and payroll services, foreign exchange, mobile and online banking and more. It maintains international branches and agencies in New York and Miami (USA), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Montevideo (Uruguay); Asunción, Concepcion, Encarnacion and Villarica (Paraguay), Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) and Madrid (Spain) as well as representative office in Beijing (China). The Bank was established in October 1891 by president Carlos Pellegrini. As of March 31, 2024, Banco de la Nacion Argentina had total assets of US$38 billion and deposits of US$24 billion.
