BBVA Mexico S.A. (formerly BBVA Bancomer) is the leading bank in Mexico with more than 32 million clients and a market share of over 23% for deposits and loans. It is the principal banking subsidiary of Grupo Financiero BBVA México (GFBB). With over 47,000 employees, the company operates through the country's largest network consisting of about 1,700 branches and 14,600 ATMs. It provides a comprehensive range of products and services in all 32 states of Mexico. Its offerings are savings and current accounts, personal and auto loans, credit cards, mortgages, commercial credits for legal entities and individuals with business activity, payroll loans as well as home, auto and life insurance, pension products, investments, asset management, mutual funds, payment services, remittance transfers, debit cards, mobile and online banking, microcredits, foreign currency exchange and more. As of September 30, 2024, Grupo Financiero BBVA México had total assets of US$180 billion, performing loans of US$92 billion and deposits of US$88 billion. Net income for FY 2023 was MXN100 billion. The company was established in 1932 under the name Banco de Comercio and today it is a member of Spanish giant BBVA (Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria). The company received such awards as Best Consumer Digital Bank and Best Mobile Banking App in Mexico, according to World Finance magazine. The Bank's headquarters is located at the Torre BBVA Bancomer in Mexico City.
