Citigroup Inc is the third largest bank in the United States by total assets and the fourth largest by deposits. Citi is an international financial services provider with presence across North and Latin America, Europe and Asia. It has more than 200 million customer accounts, 240,000 employees and does business in over 150 countries. The company's structure consists of five interconnected core business lines: Services, Markets, Banking, Wealth and U.S. Personal Banking (USPB). The North American branches are concentrated in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington. As of March 31, 2024, Citigroup had $24 trillion in assets under custody & administration. Global Wealth Management client assets amounted to nearly $990 billion. Citigroup's branded cards generated revenues of about $10 billion in 2023. The company's shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol “C”, with a market capitalization of over $130 billion at December 1, 2024.
