Truist Financial Corporation, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is one of the ten largest U.S. bank holding companies. It serves approximately 16 million customers and provides a wide array of retail, commercial, corporate and investment banking services through Truist Bank and other subsidiaries. It offers checking, savings and money market accounts, mortgage and insurance products, debit cards, personal and business loans, specialized lending as well as low APR, cash rewards and travel rewards MasterCard and Visa credit cards, securities brokerage, asset and wealth management, mobile and online banking, foreign currency exchange and other financial services. With approximately 54,000 employees, the company maintains over 2,100 branches and 3,230 ATMs in 18 states and Washington DC. Truist’s mobile banking app (U by BB&T) has earned the number one ranking in the JD Power U.S. Banking Mobile App Satisfaction Study among national banks. LightStream, an online lending subsidiary, has earned the number one ranking in the JD Power Consumer Lending Satisfaction Study among personal loan lenders in the United States. McGriff Insurance Services Inc, a Truist subsidiary, is the seventh largest insurance broker in the world and the sixth largest insurance broker in the US. Truist Financial Corporation was formed through the merger of Winston-Salem based BB&T Corporation and Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks Inc in 2019. For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2022, Truist reported net income of $6.3 billion and revenue of $23 billion. Total assets, deposits and loans amounted to $555 billion, $414 billion and $327 billion, respectively. The company’s shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol TFC, with a market capitalization of $41 billion as of June 1, 2023.
