First Technology Federal Credit Union (or First Tech FCU), based in San Jose, is the third largest credit union in California and the twelfth largest in the nation in terms of total assets. It offers checking, savings and individual retirement accounts (IRAs), consumer and mortgage loans, student and auto loans, credit cards, home equity lines of credit, commercial real estate lending, insurance and investment services, mobile and online banking, wire transfers, foreign currency exchange and more. It also provides financial services for businesses and their employees through partnerships with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc., Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Intuit Inc, Agilent, Cisco, Nike and Intel, among others. First Tech was founded in 1952 as Tektronix Federal Credit Union and today employs about 1,580 people. As of September 30, 2024, First Tech Credit Union reported $17.5 billion in total assets, $12.6 billion in deposits and $1.46 billion in equity capital.
