Golden 1 Credit Union, headquartered in Sacramento, is the second largest credit union in California and the ninth largest in the United States based on total assets. With more than 1.1 million members, 65 branches and 9 home loan centers, it offers a broad suite of financial products and services including checking accounts, savings products, consumer and mortgage loans, debit and credit cards, mobile and online banking, investments as well as auto, home and life insurance and other services. Golden 1 was established in 1933 and today has about 2,100 employees. As of June 30, 2024, it had $19.3 billion in total assets, $17 billion in deposits, 14 billion in loans and $1.6 billion in equity capital.
