Bank of Hope, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, is the largest Korean-American bank in the United States. With focus on SME Banking, it offers basic, regular and interest checking accounts, savings and money market accounts, certificates of deposit, ATM services, direct deposits, international wire transfers, investments as well as community development banking to help small businesses and low-income individuals. It also provides commercial real estate loans, warehouse lending, small business administration (SBA) loans, residential mortgages, credit and debit cards, insurance, international trade finance, commercial equipment leasing, mobile and online banking, telephone banking and foreign exchange. Bank of Hope offers more than 70 currencies for exchange. The company was created by a merger of BBCN Bank and Wilshire Bank in 2016, and today operates about 50 branches and 11 loan offices across eleven states including California, New York, Texas, Illinois, Alabama, Virginia, Washington, Georgia and New Jersey. SBA loan production offices are located Atlanta, Houston, New York City, Denver, Dallas, Portland, Seattle, Oregon and Northern California. As of June 30, 2024, Bank of Hope’s total assets, deposits and equity capital amounted to $17.4 billion, $15 billion and $2.18 billion, respectively. It operates as a subsidiary of Hope Bancorp Inc (NASDAQ: HOPE), a bank holding company with a market capitalization of $1.5 billion as of November 1, 2024.
