Capital One Financial Corp (NYSE: COF) is one of the leading consumer banks in the United States. The branches are mainly located in New York, Texas, Virginia, Louisiana, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington D.C. The company's offerings include a wide spectrum products and services such as checking and savings accounts, debit and credit cards, consumer and auto loans, commercial and multifamily real estate lending, investment banking, wealth management, capital markets and financial advisory services. Investment products are offered through Capital One Investing. In 2017-2018, Capital One acquired credit card assets from Synovus Bank as well as Bass Pro cobrand credit card portfolio. In 2018, the company ceased new originations of residential mortgages and home equity loans, and sold its home loan portfolio and mortgage servicing rights. The common shares of Capital One Financial Corporation are listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “COF”, with a market capitalization of over $77 billion as of January 2025.
