Flagstar Financial Inc (formerly New York Community Bancorp) is one of the biggest regional banks in the United States with more than 400 branches and 385 ATMs across twelve states as well as ninety private banking teams which serve high net worth individuals. Flagstar Financial is a holding company for its principal subsidiary Flagstar Bank N.A. It offers a broad array of products and services for consumers and businesses including checking, savings and money market accounts, individual retirement accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), mortgages, commercial real estate loans, Visa debit and credit cards, mobile and online banking, cash management, foreign exchange, treasury management, interest rate risk management, mid-corporate banking and asset-based lending. It also offers personal private banking, financial planning, investment management as well as life and disability insurance through LPL Financial. Flagstar is the leading producer of multifamily loans in New York City. In October 2024, the company changed its name from New York Community Bancorp Inc to Flagstar Financial Inc. The local divisions operated under the names New York Community Bank, Roslyn Savings Bank, Roosevelt Savings Bank, Atlantic Bank, Queens County Savings Bank, Ohio Savings Bank, AmTrust Bank, Richmond County Savings Bank and Garden State Community Bank were rebranded under the Flagstar name. As of September 30, 2024, Flagstar Financial had total assets, deposits and loans of $114 billion, $83 billion and $73 billion, respectively. The company’s shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), with a market capitalization of $4.8 billion as of November 6, 2024.
