Santander Holdings USA Inc (SHUSA) is a diversified financial holding company operating through its subsidiaries in all 50 states. It is a parent company for Santander’s US entities. It has more than 4.5 million customers, approximately 11,000 employees and seven major locations. In 2021, SHUSA acquired Amherst Pierpont Securities (APS), a leading institutional fixed-income broker dealer. As of September 30, 2024, SHUSA reported $168 billion in assets, $78 billion in deposits and $104 billion in loans. Santander Holdings USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Madrid-based Santander Group.
