It is the country’s fourth largest bank by assets and the third largest by market capitalization after JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America. The company’s operating segments are Consumer Banking & Lending, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth & Investment Management, which serves affluent, high-net worth and ultra-high-net worth clients. In 2021, the company sold Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) and Corporate Trust Services business. WFAM had $603 billion in assets under management (AUM) in 2020. For the financial year ended December 31, 2023, Wells Fargo & Co reported total revenue of $83 billion and net income of $19.1 billion. The company’s total assets, deposits and loans were $1.92 trillion, $1.35 trillion and $910 billion, respectively, as of September 30, 2024. Wells Fargo shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), with a market capitalization of $221 billion as of November 1, 2024.
