Farallon Capital Management LLC, headquartered in San Francisco, is an American hedge fund and global institutional investment manager with approximately $36 billion in assets under management (AUM) as of February 2024. The company invests in long/short equity, merger and risk arbitrage, credit, real estate and direct investments strategies. Farallon manages capital on behalf of institutional investors, foundations and high-net-worth individuals, and has a reputation for being a high-risk, high-reward investment firm.
