ABANCA Corporacion Bancaria S.A. (formerly NCG Banco S.A.) is a Spanish credit and savings institution created in 2011. It provides a wide array of standard banking products and services to personal and business customers including current and savings accounts, consumer and auto loans, mortgages, commercial lending, debit and credit cards, insurance, pension plans, brokerage services, mobile and online banking, foreign exchange and more. It maintains an extensive network of over 680 branches in the autonomous communities of Galicia, Asturias, Castile and León and other parts of Spain. It also has international offices in Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, USA, France, Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela and Panama. In 2019, the company acquired retail business of Deutsche Bank AG in Portugal, and Spanish operations of Caixa Geral de Depósitos. In 2020, Abanca acquired Bankoa S.A., a subsidiary of Credit Agricole. The acquired business includes over 30 branches located primarily in the Basque Country, but also in Madrid, Navarre and La Rioja. In 2021, Abanca acquired business of Portuguese bank Novo Banco S.A. in Spain. As of March 31, 2022, ABANCA Corporacion reported €77.8 billion in total assets, €47 billion in customer loans and €53 billion in customer deposits. The company is headquartered in Betanzos, the province of A Coruña, an autonomous community of Galicia.
