Piraeus Bank

Piraeus Bank S.A., a subsidiary of Piraeus Financial Holdings, is the largest bank in Greece by assets, deposits and loans. With around 8,300 employees, it serves 6.2 million customers through more than 380 branches and 2,060 ATMs across Greece. It also has branches in London, Frankfurt and Sofia. Piraeus is the only Greek bank in Germany and was the first foreign bank in Bulgaria. Piraeus UK branch specializes in services for high-net-worth-individuals.

National Bank of Greece

National Bank of Greece (NBG) is one of the leading banks in Greece. It provides a full array of financial products and services to retail, business and corporate customers through over 350 domestic branches and 1,470 ATMs. It also has international offices and subsidiaries in Cyprus, Romania, the UK, Egypt, Malta and North Macedonia as well as representative office in Australia.

Alpha Bank

Alpha Bank S.A. is the third largest Greek bank by total assets, loans and market capitalization. The company employs around 8,500 people and operates 250 branches in Greece and over 150 branches abroad. Alpha Services and Holdings S.A., the parent company of Alpha Bank Group, is traded on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE or ATHEX). As of November 2024, the company's credit ratings were BB+, Baa3 and BB according to Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch, respectively.

Eurobank

Eurobank S.A., a subsidiary of Eurobank Ergasias Services & Holdings SA, is one of the big four banks in Greece. With 10,500 employees, it maintains a network of over 500 branches including approximately 270 domestic units. It has a strong international presence in Luxembourg, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Serbia and Bulgaria. Eurobank is the safest and best bank in Greece according to Global Finance magazine.

Attica Bank

Attica Bank S.A. is one of the top five banks in Greece. Attica's offerings are savings and current accounts, payroll & pension accounts, time deposits, home and consumer loans, card services, insurance programs for individuals and businesses, share trading, mutual funds, margin accounts, commercial lending, domestic factoring, leasing, letters of guarantee, bonds and treasury bills of the Greek government, MasterCard and Visa corporate cards, online banking and more. HSBC Greece

HSBC Greece is a major player in the Greek financial market. It provides a wide suite of premium banking and investment products to personal, corporate and institutional customers. The company maintains offices in Athens, Thessaloniki and Piraeus. HSBC, one of the world's leading international financial services groups, has been operating in Greece since 1981. In March 2022, HSBC Continental Europe has reached an agreement to sell its branch operations in Greece to Pancreta Bank SA.

Citibank Greece

Citigroup, an American financial services corporation, has been present in Greece since 1964. It was the first bank in the country to introduce investment products to the local market. Currently, the company offers financial services to businesses, financial institutions and public sector. Citi sold its consumer banking operations in Greece to Alpha Bank in 2014.

Optima Bank

Optima bank (formerly known as Investment Bank of Greece) provides an array of retail and business banking products including bank accounts, debit and credit cards, mortgage loans, business lending, investment and stock exchange services, private banking and more. It was launched in 2019 and today operates through a network of 26 branches and stockbroking office located in Heraklion, Crete.
