Aktia Bank plc (Finnish: Aktia Pankki Oyj) is one of Finland's leading financial institutions serving retail, corporate and institutional customers. With over 900 employees and offices in Helsinki metropolitan area, Turku, Tampere, Vaasa and Oulu, it offers a broad array of standard banking products as well as asset management, treasury and real estate services, long-term saving solutions, life and disability insurance, illness cover, mobile and online banking, and other services. The majority of Aktia’s revenue comes from the banking business. The Bank’s subsidiaries include Aktia Fund Management Company, Aktia Finance, Aktia Life Insurance, and Aktia Asset Management. The company’s current form was created in 1991 by the merger of eight savings banks.
