Furness Building Society is the 18th largest building society in the UK in terms of assets. It offers savings accounts, mortgages, online services as well as five star home insurance through Uinsure Ltd. The Society was established in 1865 and today has around 101,000 members and over 150 employees (FTE) across nine full service branches. For the year ended December 31, 2023, it reported net interest income of £22 million, profit before tax of £4.2 million, loans to members of £1.1 billion and total assets of £1.3 billion.
