Yorkshire Building Society (YBS), headquartered in Bradford, provides a broad array of competitive financial services to its members. It offers the following mortgage products: standard residential, buy-to-let and holiday let mortgages, remortgage, home mover and commercial mortgages. The savings products include easy access and cash ISA accounts, fixed rate bonds, regular savings and children's accounts. It also offers online services, mobile app as well as life planning, home and life insurance, and critical illness cover. The Society was established in 1864 and today has approximately 2.65 million members, 2,500 full time and 760 part time employees and 110 branches or local agencies. During 2023, YBS provided a total of more than 44,000 new residential mortgages. As of June 30, 2024, Yorkshire Building Society reported total assets of £64 billion, customer loans of £49 billion and retail deposits of £50 billion.
