The Market Harborough Building Society (MHBS) is a UK mutual organisation and an award winning society providing mortgages, bridging loans, savings accounts, insurance, financial planning and online services for private individuals and small businesses. The company’s products are promoted via mortgage brokers, the internet, by post and through branches in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. The Society was established in 1870 and today it is the 24th largest building society in the United Kingdom in terms of total assets. For the year ended December 31, 2023, it had £4.3 million in profit before tax, £722 million in total assets, £598 million in mortgage loans and £564 million in shares and deposits. With 97 full-time and 35 part-time employees, Market Harborough Building Society operates five branches and serves over 35,000 members.
